UF AGR established the Doyle Conner Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. Others will always be measured against his accomplishments and his contributions to agriculture. His achievements are enumerable, and his dedication to Alpha Gamma Rho has influenced countless young men. The fraternity takes pride in naming its lifetime achievement award in his honor as the Doyle Conner Lifetime Achievement Award. In the decades that follow, this award will be conferred on those brothers whose unique achievements reflect a lifetime of service to our industry — agriculture. This award will not be an annual award, but will be reserved for those with a lifetime of accomplishments on behalf of the agricultural industry matching in magnitude and scope those of Commissioner Conner.
In that regard, in 2012, AGR recognized Doyle Connor as the inaugural recipient of this award established in his name for his legacy of service and achievement for the improvement of agriculture — making agriculture stronger, acting as the ambassador for Florida agriculture for over 45 years, and inspiring countless young people to pursue agriculture as a career.
